“This particular work consists of series of portraits made with paper negative technique. After the dark room processing, the negatives are hand-manipulated with charcoal and pencil and then scanned and again developed using Lightroom to prepare them for fine art printing”.

Tomas Hetmanek is a Czech photographer living in İstanbul. He use 19th Century equipment and techniques to produce large format photographs and combine them with other plastic art such drawing, charcoal, embroidery, cut up technique and so on.
